How a typical flat roof project runs.

This is the standard order of work, so you know exactly what to expect before you book anything.

Step 1Strip and inspectThe old covering comes off and the deck and timbers are properly inspected. If we find rot underneath, you’ll know that morning, with photos, before we go any further.
Step 2Deck and fallsNew decking is fitted where needed, with firrings installed so water runs to the outlet rather than pooling in the middle of the roof.
Step 3Insulation and membraneInsulation is added where the build-up allows, then the membrane is cut to the roof and bonded, with upstands taken up behind the render or cladding.
Step 4Trims, outlets and handoverEdge trims and outlets are finished, the gutters are cleared, and the scaffold comes down. We’ll send photos of the completed roof so you can see the work without climbing a ladder.
